That's an annoying blog. I was half way through reading when a full page "enter your email address" pop-up appeared. I closed it, and was sent to the top of the page again. (Samsung S20, Chrome).

UblockOrigin, with default deny all JavaScript mode turned on, prevented any 'half way through popup' from appearing for me.

I recommend you installing Samsung Internet browser and using the Adblock Fast software to block ads. This browser has built-in support for blocking ads using the Adblock Fast. And if this not works, most of the time I just use the reading mode to bypass the paywalls and ads.
