I recently had a big burst of returns in my Amazon account. It would be disruptive to me if I were to be “fired” as a customer in ways I have heard about. Is there an official or unofficial way to guess at the standing of my account? (Previously I would have been confident that mine was a trouble free, profitable account, but recent returns may have turned its profitability temporarily upside down.)

I guess I knew it happened, but I was uncomfortable with the idea that they were making things right because of my record and not on the merits of the situation.
To your question, I'd try calling them one some pretext and asking the agent to tell you how your customer record with them is.
