jails. The main reason I chose to use FreeBSD over Linux and it has only proven to be a better choice for what I do on a daily basis.

I guess to each their own but I dislike docker. I think it’s bloated and over complicated.

Docker and jails are different things. Learn the difference

Just use bwrap (bubblewrap). Linux has namespaces.
