I remember about one year ago the headline "Russia tells Kremlin critic Navalny to return or face jail".

I remember about ten days ago the headline "Russia confirms partial withdrawal of troops from Ukraine border".

Anyone who trusts the word of Russian officials in general and Lavrov/Putin in particular shouldn't be surprised by the sudden and inevitable betrayal.
