1. Etherum is moving to a "Proof of Stake" at some point this year. This will mean you don't need GPU power to mine Etherum. While Bitcoin can be mined with ASIC's Etherum requires a large amount of memory (aka a GPU).
2. Chip shortage is easing
3. Intel (and others?) are announcing / releasing GPUs that are looking pretty darn good.
I am hoping to pick up a used 3080 or similar once proof of stake is announced. I expect a pretty large ebay inventory increase once this date is set.
