Hi there! I'm Jake, a software engineer just over 1 year of professional experience. I care deeply about people and the problems they need to solve, and learning how to build tools to solve those problems is what drives me. I come from a Mental Health background, and working with people to help guide themselves and the things they to so success is what I do. I'm looking for a remote software engineer position.
In my most recent role I worked on a distributed team to build an application that helps startups and investors connect. I worked across the stack, building a polished user interface with React before building out an Express API with asynchronous unit tests, configuring multipart form submissions with file uploads to S3, and configuring the authentication flow using Passport.js.
