I’d say it’s probably good to know at least one bowline variation that locks the tail end so it can’t come loose, but that’s maybe the climber in me coming out too strong. Otherwise I’d agree with you

This isn't just a climber concern: I've had a tarp come undone in the wind due to this very issue.
