I click on all that stuff, but I don't value it in the sense that if I have to give something up for it, I just won't bother. That valuation is based on the relative abundance of information that's available, but that's what it is.
I value an internet connection, a browser, a computer with a gui (though barely the gui part), etc, but not the incremental experience of clicking on a particular news (et al) link
