This feels like the twilight zone. It’s not like we use to make sure the viewer knew what gender the person speaking was. What is this for?

I suppose if I was feeling extremely generous; if you wanted to describe what happened in the video to someone else, you would use said pronouns. "(He) gave (her) these cool looking glasses". I don't feel that generous though.
