Reddit shut down ?depth=n sorting for threads between 6 and 12 months ago and ?context=n in the last three months but posting and commenting still works for me on the latest releases of Chrome, Safari, the android Samsung browser and an old release of android Chrome, across 5 different reddit logins.
Post it, with screenshots, to /r/bugs and you'll probably get an answer sometime soon. If not, maybe they are A/B testing a decline in product quality?
