The diagnosis basically says that self-reflection is bad. Sure, if you only need a confidence boost just think about the abilities of your superiors. To say that insecurity about your own knowledge is a mental condition is a mental condition. In some cases the latter is called idiocy.

The only conflict here is the rules of business that sometimes require you to lie about it and withhold doubts.
