The iPadOS pointer is such a great example of "doing things differently for the sake of doing things differently".

It's arguably less usable than a normal pointer because it disappears when hovering over buttons. But they didn't want to do a normal cursor, so we got that.

I personally don’t use a keyboard with my iPad but found the idea pretty fascinating if not better (at a surface level) than a regular pointer. What would you improve?
