Hey HN, Alex and Ben here, and we wanted to share another web app we created recently.
Sweetfont is a tool to help you find fonts without having to know a lot about typography.
There are over a million fonts in existence - and over 1,400 on Google Fonts alone - and it's hard to filter through to find one that is a good fit for your project. Ben is a typography nerd and knows tons of obscure fonts (and was offended by my constant use of Google's Poppins). So, we decided to make a tool that would help normal people (like me) find the right fonts too.
For Sweetfont, we had designers assess every Google Font's "personality". We surface it through the sliders. In the future, we'd like to add fonts from other sources too.
Wow, this is amazing. I was about to leave a comment that the vibe search didn't make much sense, but on the third refresh it started working incredibly well, and giving me the precise fonts I expected. Awesome! But not sure why it gave me bad fonts the first 2 times.
