That's really sad to hear. I listened to pretty much every episode of SED in 2015 and 2016. I learned a ton and my career really skyrocketed because of it. He always seemed to be able to follow along with his interviewees, no matter the topic. And he was able to ask interesting questions that really helped you to understand the context for a particular technology. I'll always remember him fondly.
