I find it interesting that apple allows apps through the review process that have these extremely high subscription fees without any additional review

$239/year is about $20/month; billed weekly, each charge is a bit under $5. This does not look like an extremely high charge to Apple's target demographic.

It should be mentioned that a free/OSS iOS Authenticator app, which all these other apps replicate the basic functionality of, has been around for years and works great.
