The world population has increased by ~154% since 1962, not 267%. You have to go back to some time in the 1930s for the higher growth figure to be true.

That "doom and gloom" attitude is unwarranted, though.

There is enough room and resources on Earth for every single person to be housed, fed and entertained for the foreeseable future.

And when that would not be enough, Solar System is ours to take. And beyond.

There is in a perfect functioning system that tries to distribute resources and use the in a practical manner. The current system is on a path of destruction and IMHO those that don't see it are primarily thinking short term.
