I am in an authoritarian country. Our speech is censored, and online chat is monitored. We have to consider whether it is appropriate when typing words and speaking to friends.

I care about privacy, but not that much. The author gave me the feeling that I would not drink water for fear of choking to death. Providing private information to some big companies has brought a lot of convenience to our lives at the same time. When making a choice, I will weigh the gains and losses. As far as I am concerned, I loss more while over-considering the privacy.

I am pretty sure that almost all conveniences are possible without any surveillance. The benefit would be even more security without any downsides.

For a example, if the mobile keyboard can collect the words you type to enhance their dictionaries. Then you will get a better typing experience.
