Covid is still more dangerous than most people think. The stress it places on the british healthcare system is currently going to prove to be the most significant issue of the pandemic for Britan this year.
The current NHS is not set up to cope. The NHS is already stretched. We have seen an increased number of admissions to the wards over the past few weeks. As demand increases, the NHS will find it more difficult to recruit enough talent. The talent problem will be hard to solve because most people would rather work in the private sector for better pay.
