Large macroeconomic changes and even microecon changes that affect large companies usually take months or several quarters to ripple outwards. I think we will see the consequences of overhiring during pandemic at GAFAM etc continue to unwind through the first half of 2023 if not longer.
The article doesn’t really touch on this, but isn’t this fantastic news for startups and smaller companies, for which recruiting talent will become easier?!
