He should go back to Africa vs They should go back to Africa

The French parliament heard Gregoire yell, "He should go back to Africa".

Gregoire de Fournas, the anti-immigrant, far right extremist claims he didn't say that. Instead, he claims he said, They should go back to Africa.

The problem with the French language is that the pronunciation for He and They are exactly the same. Il is He. Ils is They. However, both French words have almost identical pronunciation.

Read the news article for more information. France continues decline towards anti-immigrant, right-wing and xenophobic leadership.

How did far right do worse in 2022 than in 2017?

They got above 30% of the vote in the first round (which is the round that matters because of the "cordon sanitaire"), and depending on where you place Lasalle/Dupont-Aignan it is as high as 35%.

2017 that figure was 26%(Dupont-Aignan + Le Pen).
