I think that in the short-term there will definitely be a shock to the system and there may be less lucrative and easy jobs, but long-term software is going nowhere and the fundamental value proposition of software engineers hasn't changed.

The only thing that changed is that due to increasing rates companies are tightening their CapEx and focusing on profit over growth.
