If your employer is in danger of bankruptcy, one should probably be thinking about looking for new job.

The way things have been going make me question if he even wanted Twitter to survive in the first place.

What happens to him if Twitter goes bankrupt? Is it possible that it could potentially be a loss minimization strategy?

Strategy? I think you're giving Musk too much credit. It seems pretty clear to me that he had no real plan for Twitter. I really think he bought it on a whim, then tried to get out of the deal when he had buyers remorse.

Now the blue bird is an Albatross and he's flailing about trying to figure out what to do with it.

He has repeatedly claimed both Tesla and SpaceX could go bankrupt, so I don't really take anything he says seriously.

He's just trying to light a fire under his employees to encourage them to work overtime and justify forcing them back into the office.

He is just trying to stress the folks let at Twitter even more. Such an unethical move to have an entire company constantly hang in the purgatory of having a job next month or not.
