Anecdotal or factual observations about features and functionality that have stopped working. Confirmed interactions with real humans at Twitter for resolutions an added bonus!

Changing the 'birth' date of a Twitter account to anything less than 13 years old results in the account be immediately locked without warning and without a mechanism to reset. This is obviously an age consent control but the undo has disappeared.

Lots of posts complaining about this to the Twitter support account. Especially problematic for a brand or organization account younger than 13 years. Ironically @twittersupport was born in March 2021, so they seem to have slipped themselves through the net!

I’m seeing a lot of unrelated people reporting that their follower accounts are cratering. The two big explanations for this some problem with the system that maintains the count, or a large number of accounts leaving. The best case scenario is that most of those accounts are bots, but even rats leaving isn’t a good sign of seaworthiness.

I think it’s going to greatly depend on what community you’re in. Anecdotally, I’m seeing a lot of people I follow leave (I’m keeping my own account dormant but existing for the moment, because, who knows, Twitter may yet go the way of Tumblr and get sold off cheap to someone more competent in the end).

Of course, it could just be a data problem, too.
