Ask HN: What are some good Christmas gifts for Software Engineering teams?

I have a budget of €250 per person for Christmas gifts for my software engineering team. Every year they get some fancy gadget, but this year I want to gift them something different that they can use along with their family, friends or even on their own. Only criteria is it has to be an experience that is relaxing for mind and body.

Few ideas I have in mind: 1. Voucher for a spa retreat. 2. A night stay in a forest resort. 3. Voucher for cooking classes.

Any recommendation is greatly appreciated. Thanking you.

You could give a gift that will make the wifey happy - you probably know who is married. A spa or something similar to get away from the kids etc. would work just fine.

Something I would consider as very weird. Not sure what a good answer is to be honest, but this feels like some kind of boundary. Might be different in different cultures, but yea.

I agree with the cash option. Just an Amazon gift card and everyone is happy. Otherwise you will always (secretly) anger someone and the budget thrown away without being used.

Agree with this! An Amazon gift card would be a perfect gift, especially because you want them to enjoy it with their family and they can use it in any way they choose to.
