What is the point of this? To me this reads like contentless wordplay, some random software-insider negativity with a bit of anti-capitalism thrown in. I didn't really find any interesting points worth engaging with either positively or negatively.

TBH I would have just downvoted this if I could. If you're scanning comments before reading, don't bother with it.

When I start to see walls of text I power scroll through the article to see headings and conclusions.

I can quickly see if the article is written with me as the audience or if someone else is the intended reader.

If you find the right technologies - starting up a company to do whatever "should" be done has never been easier.

Software is capital? I don't even get this at all... why shouldn't startups be rewarded if they produce something people want?

This article is written for people way smarter than me. I don't know who he's trying to convince.

I don't flag much on here, but I flagged this one.

+1. The article is disappointing throughout because its purpose seems to be posturing and name checking trendy learned stuff. Circular logic abounds.

Is it angry with code or capitalism or the human condition? You get the impression all three. Solutions? never looked at

It also ends with the ultimate cop out:

Q: What is the solution? (paraphrased)
  A: I don’t know
