The implications are that performative justice, an international perp walk in chains is somehow "better" not withstanding that probably costs more to make happen.

He's on $250m posted bail. That's quite a lot of motivation to attend his place of registration and hand over his passport.

Is being seen in an orange jumpsuit really so important for law to be seen to be done?

Oh wait.. I get it: his frequent flyer miles were fraudulently obtained so he shouldn't use the lounge.

It’s only a multibillion dollar fraud, so it’s fine for him to fly first class. Imagine if instead he’d been caught selling loose cigarettes on a street corner.
