Ikigai as how some western authors try to portray and promote it isn't really a thing in Japanese culture according to the economist.

Thanks for this. It's funny how stemmed from some british dude who essentially made it up and people bought into it.

I was also surprised by all the other terms I seen floating around that are a similar thing
