I don't understand? Why would you post a blog on the public internet and then have an issue over it being shared? It's not like HN is reprinting it and the discussions are interesting.
I would not have know about this format if it hadn't been posted here.
I'm sure I'm not the first to say this, but I'd prefer to use they/them as the default for people I don't know well (ie, everyone on the internet that I don't have a social or parasocial relationship with)

Maybe. But also HN doesn't have a great reputation re: gender, and foone is non-binary. So there are multiple reasons.
