There's no world where that is a moral dilemma (for me, maybe it is for you?). The ends don't justify the means is not a general truth, is depends on the means and the ends. If the means is typing a word and the ends is saving millions of lives? That's no different from cutting a red wire as far as I can see. The implication of the phrase is that the means you are using are morally wrong. Any action is a 'means' to an end. I don't see how typing a word (any word) is morally wrong, it's not even being shared with anyone, only used to disarm the bomb.
