PenPot is a well funded open source alternative to Figma.

It became quite popular when Figma was bought out by Adobe as users weren't happy with the merger.

Otherwise Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop/XD, Figma, Sketch and Axure are still the top dogs for Web/Mobile design

Ah super. thank you for your reply. We have the Adobe creative suite here so I think I'll go on a crash refresh course. I'll also take a look at PenPot!
