It will take coding jobs. It won't take developer jobs(yet). I utilize ChatGPT a lot. As long as i know what I need and it is somewhat simple - the generated code requires sanity and whether it is under O(n^n). So the people whose job is to translate waterfall specs to java can feel threatened.
It will change the way we work,so a classic developer will become a solution architect. I argue that coding is a building block to solutions, and it will become more efficient, allowing us to actually focus on the end product or solution to a problem vs actually focusing on the code.
