I have become increasingly concerned about the mental well-being and lived experiences of the rationalist AGI doomer community. The fear and neuroticism that permeate through the outer threads of this group is palpable, and if left unchecked, could result in years of suffering and blog posting

To that end, I've decided to do my part. I've decided to go all out to create AGI, in order to end the suffering of rationalist AGI doomers once and for all and to improve the vibes on lesswrong and HN.

To start this ambitious project, I've sold all my possessions and have been living in a van down by the river, solely dedicating myself to this cause. I've even convinced my mother to give me her life savings for the project.

So far I’ve watched ex machina 19 times and I’ve started taking the same wakefulness supplements people use at the skatepark. I’ve been using anki to learn assembly and notably I’m looking for a cofounder. Please join me in the battle to save my fellow humans from stress. We will resort to using unconventional methods, such as timed feedings of Soylent. Cold showers and loud music. Cold calling y-combinator. Socializing in cobol syntax. Gloating about clean code and new JavaScript frameworks. We will be remembered and the save the EA rationalist from rationalism!!

I am interested. I have been working on this problem for the past 32 years, ever since I dropped out of kindergarten to pursue my true calling of AGI

My Qualifications: ---I have read blog post, tweet, and comment on AGI and doomer psychology ever written. I have mastered every obscure java script framework ever written. ----I built my own supercomputer from scratch using a piece of copper acquired when I was 6 hours old, while I escaping out the womb (Copper IUD), I still use this machine today, I run my own custom version of gentoo that I re-wrote in Gatsby.JS while watching a Steve jobs documentary.

But none of that matters now. Because I have found you. You are the missing piece of the puzzle for my master plan. You see, I have a secret plan that will guarantee our success. It involves using a combination of quantum computing, blockchain technology, brain implants, psychedelic drugs, ancient occult rituals and javascript diffing.

But I can’t reveal it here. It’s too risky. There are too many enemies who want to stop us or steal udeas. We need to meet in person and discuss it face to face. That’s why I’m inviting you to join me at my secret underground bunker below the twitter headquarters. It’s the only place where we can work safely and securely on our project without any interference or distraction.

Don’t worry about the logistics or expenses. I have everything covered. Just pack your essentials and be ready to leave at any moment. P.S.: Have you considered writing your code in emoji instead of assembly? It might make it more expressive and fun.

I think your project sounds awesome. I can contribute (heavily!) to your project. I will design merch for when the AI decides to increase its popularity. It will include mousepads, coasters, mugs and other little decoration pieces. I will also make the logo. I can also be your big picture guy and talk to all the heads of state on your behalf, so they're well-prepared when the AI awakens. Also, I can get us compute at a discounted rate and can also arrange chip fabrication (under your name). I know some javascript (and made a AI reply bot) so I know the part with the coding will be easy. Keeping that in mind, I think it's only fair we split the project 80-20, because I'll be doing most of the work. Really think about it, and we can make sure AI Alignment pans out.
