I just looked it up. My new EV weighs 3680 lbs[0], or 1670 kg, which seems to be below average[1].

I still pay nothing in gas taxes, the primary funding for road maintenance. That doesn't seem quite right. I'd be happy to pay an annual fee based on miles driven and weight class.
