NPR is ditching Twitter over 'government-funded media' label on its main account

The name of the company is literally National Public Radio and they lobby for more government funds on their own website.

Their gripe seems to be “government funded” implies “state sanctioned” but there’s a separate label for state sponsored media, which they did not receive.

The collective temper tantrum from journalists losing their special treatment on Twitter has been glorious to watch.
