Please reset your Mural password

When you set a password for your Mural account, we use technology that masks it so no one can see it. As part of our ongoing security practices, we recently found an issue where passwords were stored unmasked in a Mural controlled and secured system for a limited period of time.

We have fixed the issue, and our investigation gave no indication that any information was compromised.

To be extra safe, we’re having you change your password. The next time you log in, please follow the on-screen instructions and set a new one. If you are currently using SSO to log in, no action is required.

We’re very sorry this happened. Your trust is important to us, and we’ll continue to work to earn it every day.

Just got this email today. What do they mean by, “stored unmasked”? Sounds too much like we have your pain text passwords for my comfort.
