I actually don't understand most terms in this title. It seems bad and shady but that's just intuition from the use of words like "Facebook", "Shadow", "ad", "target".
Ironically you can get rid of political spam on Twitter by ignoring tweets with any kind of hashtag. These accounts have hardly any personal content apart from regurgitation of the same image & garbage text accompanying it everyday on flavour of the day outrage....
That's very encouraging. Douchetags should always be ignored. The sooner they go away, the better. They're a symbol of ignorance and a ridiculous technical regression.
interesting breakdown. I would be further interested to understand the reach of these types of tactics in India and what the opposition is doing as well. Feels like a continuing trend of gov't entities quietly funneling cash and control into various media outlets
