Sounds like he hasn’t heard of PCCP (Predetermined Change Control Plan)…you need this if you want to get pre market approval for ml/ai software-as-medical-device products
PCCP was just announced on 3 April. And really, PCCP just establishes that there can be a path. They really need folks like radiologists and pathologists to figure out the metrics. Take a look at ONEST as a way to evaluate the compressibility of your ground truth. It's a damn yield curve for subjective tests.
