I cook eggs every morning with a pat of butter in a well-seasoned cast iron pan. Works great.

Then there we have it then. I use cast iron for anything that requires heat, frying and browning, and for anything like boiling, tomato sauces or stews I use the stainless as to not strip the fats from the cast iron.

Keeps it simple.
