While browsing internet I stumbled upon this article which describes an interesting way to do a DDOS in stealth mode using popular android app. In the article author mentions also iOS phones but my quick investigation showed that the same app on Appstore just does not do any DDOS'ing.

Looks like author just made a wrong assumption without actually testing it (though, he did a good analysis on android). I wrote him asking to do a deeper dive into iOS and if he does not I might write my own version.

But still kudos to Apple for not letting some weirdos use my phone for malicious activities and maybe android will one day catch up.
