Is Shopify becoming more flexible than WooCommerce?

Just challenging the prevailing wisdom that WooCommerce is the most flexible ecommerce platform out there. Sure, you can dig deeper into the code with Woo, but it often leads to issues down the line. Moving parts, and whatnot.

But in terms of the marketplace, there are 60k+ WordPress plugins available on wordpress.org and of those ~1k contain the keyword Woo or are marked as being built for Woo.

By comparison, Shopify has 8k+ apps now, and counting.

Begs the question: is Shopify becoming more flexible than Woo?
