I also collect these constructs. It's an obscure science; one with a founder; C. Wright Mills. I'll honor his work by using his term: "Intellectual Craftsmanship". This is covered in his book, "The Sociological Imagination." It appears as the appendix of the book, and a website can be found at the site below. You will also find in Google results that there are multiple courses of this name in sociological studies.
