Quantitative research might be an option. One pro here is, if they like you, they will be happy to take you on and teach whatever concrete skills you’re missing.
Maybe you should consider applying for positions at places like D.E. Shaw or 2Sigma. From what I've read they many folks who have advanced degrees in maths and other similar fields. I'm sure you'd be able to put your skills to use at one of those places.
Plus, the pay is good too :)
