I enjoyed the series, thanks. I forget that in the early 20th century, the electric-grid build out was exciting bleeding-edge work. ...A good place for strong technical minds to go.
I'm glad the author chose to disclose this information, but it does make me wonder – was the role of GPT to edit and organize the thoughts or to provide the historic facts? I have misgivings if it's the latter.
A fascinating result of how the regulations were written:
“FERC Order 745, issued in 2011, stipulated that demand response providers must be compensated for reducing electricity load at the same rates as if they met that demand with generated electricity.”
