> For me, it’s my back. I suffer from chronic and mysterious lumbar and pelvic pain. I have consulted many specialists and undergone many tests and scans, but none have been able to ease the pain or even give me a firm diagnosis.

> Only one thing reliably soothes the pain: movement. Sitting in a chair is the worst, but remaining in any fixed position for more than roughly 30 minutes (or little as 10 minutes on a bad day) will trigger significant discomfort or pain.

Word to the wise; a standing desk and Herman Miller seat is only $2,000 and won't be obsoleted in 5 years time. Maybe my lumbar pain isn't ready to "think different" though.

I tried to address that in the article. Did you read it? If so, what could I do to clarify?
