I find myself just typing random combinations of the letters that sound vaguely English because the game's vocabulary is much larger than mine. For example I got "minge" which is apparently British slang for vagina but I've never heard of it.
Anyway, that random guessing component mostly ruins the game. In Wordle at least your random guesses have consequences or can lead you closer to the right answer (which is usually a more common word)
The hidden words are hand selected from a smaller vocabulary list to make the game is solvable without having to guess.
Then if you find a more obscure word that is valid in the dictionary it is counted as a bonus word and can further help you solve the hidden words based on it's position.

1. Found CUTE and CUTER. 2. Tried CUTEY. 3. It added as a bonus word but was displayed in between CUTE and CUTER.
Should have been after CUTER alphabetically.
