Thanks a ton! I had been thinking of doing something along these lines for ages, but I kept putting it off on the basis that e.g. making an Ansible `host: localhost` playbook would be the "right" way to do it. Eventually I realized I didn't want any of that -- I just wanted something (A) that made getting up and running with a brand new system as painless as possible and (B) would be very easy for other people to open up, read, and say "Yeah, this looks safe to run".
