Gifted children do _NOT_ exhibit comorbid ADHD. ADHD is not an indicator for Giftedness. Yes many kids have ADHD(5%). Yes many gifted kids also have ADHD. No, the general inattentiveness and hyperkinetic behavior is not an indicator of ADHD. They are bored. ADHD kids suffer from an inability to utilize executive function and regulation. This is not the same as bored gifted kids. There are a lot of gifted/LD kids precisely because giftedness can make up for learning disabilities, even in type 3s who have both gifted and LD but the LD occludes giftedness. Stop making it seem like ADHD is a positive thing. It is not. It is life altering. It is horrible if you have a below 110 GAI. It only becomes slightly tolerable above that.
