This is cool and I enjoyed playing with it and the navigation settings.

But I am ignorant about what this would be used for.

Would love to learn more about the motivation and use cases.

Yes, really wanted an "About" page. Cool viz, but what is it showing?

Has me wanting to use them as a screensaver. Ease enough to download, though original the sources would be nice. I would want to play with each of these visualization modes with non-noise inputs, FFTs, intricate spectrogram outputs.

Not sure if OP is the author, but consider using `window.history.replaceState` for navigation so that when people are done playing with the different options, they don't have to press the back button 50 times to get back to HN.

Also, on mobile the page is cut off for me at the bottom

Barely works on an older (2019-ish) MacBook Pro in Safari, about 1 frame per second
