I found the book more accessible, if you just want to flip through it, or have it open while completing some of the projects. I'm at the last chapter of the book, while a few years back doing the course, I only completed 3 projects.
But of course, if you've completed many other MOOCs and like that format, go for it. Just start and see where that takes you.
