Reddit content has been on the decline in quality for years, to the point now that r/all is basically a Facebook feed. It's people posting about their lives in funny stories or funny / shocking videos for entertainment. I first went to Reddit because there was good content with really good discussions happening in the comments. Now it's just recycled posts with people trying to be funny in the comments. No one will debate a topic it's just everyone trying to immediately "win" the conversation rather than defending a viewpoint. It's why I prefer HN these days, far better discussions happening over here. Reddit still has some good communities with a lot of solid knowledge but the majority of Reddit has gone downhill.
